“Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit…” Those popular lyrics sum up Rob Baughman’s humble Midwest beginnings in the early 1970s. The oldest of four children, Rob learned his work ethic early in life by watching his dad labor tirelessly as a handyman to support their family in the inner city. Rob learned the value of hard work at age 10 when he managed his own newspaper route, delivering papers before dawn everyday—sometimes in several feet of snow—and striving to please his customers. He never gave up.
Rob went on to work on numerous construction sites, sell windows, install siding and doors, work in pest control and communications systems sales and service, and start several companies, including a successful wedding DJ business.
At age 19, Rob married his high school sweetheart (Taira) and eventually moved to Tennessee where the couple raised four children before Taira contracted breast cancer in 2010. Rob took care of his ailing wife and his children while working three jobs and going to school full-time to earn his business degree until Taira graduated to Heaven in 2013. Drawing from his experience in construction, customer service and sales, Rob became a project manager for a Nashville-area contracting firm soon after marrying his new-found love, Joy. Then in 2019, he and his business partner launched Remodel 615. Rob bases his business model on one thing: take care of the customer. No. Matter. What.
From the beginning, Rob’s life has been based on COMMITMENT; commitment to his values, commitment to his family, commitment to his customers. He’s a man who doesn’t give up, even when things get tough. He truly cares, and he proves it. Every. Single. Day.
